Respect the Refuge is a training and communications campaign that helps heighten awareness of Insect Resistance Management (IRM) requirements, as mandated by the EPA, when insect-protected traits are planted. The campaign’s goal is to provide tools that would help seed companies, dealers, growers and everybody else involved with insect-protected traits to help drive the use of refuges. The current tools available include reminder postcards, posters, logos, IRM tip boxes from university entomologists, Refuge Calculators and a Visual Impact Presentation on the spread and resistance of rootworm variants in the Midwest.

IMPORTANT: Grain Marketing and Seed Availability: Genuity™ SmartStax™ has received the necessary approvals in the United States, however, as of Sept 2009, approvals have not been received in certain major corn export markets. Genuity™ SmartStax™ will not be launched and seed will not be available until after import approvals are received in appropriate major corn export markets.
